Praying Hands
Jack was taken to Lakeshore Hospital and then transferred to Spectum Hospital in Grand Rapids last night with heart problems. He is currently in the Heart Unit at Spectrum. Please remember the family in your prayers.

Ray just called to update me on Barb. She is in Ludington Hospital. She had surgery earlier today and is doing some better. Add Barb and the Family to your prayer list please. This has been a long drawn out illness spanning several months. Let's pray the doctors have finally found her problem and repaired it. Thanks for your prayers.

Evelyn Bandringa's sister-in-law, Jane, had surgery on her back. A disc was out of place and sticking into her spine resulting in severe leg pain. Please add her to your prayer list...Thank You.

Nancy is having surgery tomorrow (Tuesday) at 11:00 o'clock in Ludington Hospital. Her daughter, a nurse, flew up from Florida to be at her side. If all goes well, Nancy and her
daughter will go to Florida in a few days. Please pray for Nancy and her family. Thank You!

Please pray for Pastor Ken. He went to the doctor this morning concerning the issue he had shared with us in church. Ken was given medications and is home resting.

Please pray for Ethan Egger.  He is around 7 years old & was hospitalized last night (Thursday) with pneumonia & H1N1. 

His mom & dad baby brother (Laura & Andy & baby Brennan) were in Texas for a medical conference & Ethan & his two younger sisters (Naomi & Adella) were staying in Lansing, MI with family. 

I just learned that Ethan was placed on a ventilator a few hours ago, and he seems to be resting easier & his breathing is better. The doctors are hoping he will only be on the vent for a day. His mom & dad have just arrived from Texas & are with him in the hospital. (Sparrow Hospital - Lansing, MI)

Please also pray for all the other children he has been with this week.

 Tom & Helen were in an automobile accident just a few miles away from their place in FL.  Tom was unhurt but Helen had numerous contusions.  There was nothing broken but she is bruised and sore.  Please keep both of them in your prayers.

 Erika is now running a fever as high as 104 with a cough and headaches.  Please pray for healing and that this is not the H1N1 flu.  Many students in her school have it.

 via CarePages from Troy and Stacy: The last three days have been a whirlwind of appointments! Outside of the bloodwork, xrays and CT Scan, Troy underwent another colonoscopy on Thursday morning. We met with the doctor this afternoon (Friday, 10/9) and he is recommending surgery to remove the tumor in Troy's colon as soon as possible. If he doesn't have the tumor removed now, he could wind up in an emergency situation, which would not be good. Once he recovers from surgery, it is being recommended to go back on chemotherapy and the original drug called Folfox/Oxiliplatin. Troy will need to tolerate this drug as long as possible going forward. Options after this will be experimental drugs/clinical trials, but we will cross that bridge when we get to it, we continue to have hope that this drug will continue to heal.

Everything that has been done for Troy up to this point are the steps the doctors here at MD Anderson would have done, so this is a relief to us. The doctor here has made contact with Troy's local oncologist, so the next step is getting in touch with our surgeon when we return to Grand Rapids to discuss surgery and getting a date on the calendar. We are scheduled to fly back to GR on Saturday, October 10th and cannot wait to be HOME!

We cannot thank all of you enough for your prayers, your love, your care and your continuous support through this journey we've been on. We continue to trust that God is in control and will bring us through the days ahead. We continue to ask him to show us the path moment by moment.

Thank you again for all of your support! God is truly showing his Grace through all of you!

Brad is in Mercy Hospital in Muskegon after surgery which discovered a large abscess in his abdomen.  He is in very serious condition and needs our prayers

Troy will be going to Houston on Tuesday for testing and treatment for his cancer. Troy is Lee and Judy Eidson's Son-in-law and has been one of our prayer concerns since earlire this year.
